Facilities Update – July 2015 Your Parish Council has been at work as we move forward in our efforts to renovate the church building and the Catholic Center. These projects are not the work of any one person or any one group. We need the assistance of the entire parish.
With regard to the church, we have established a Church Renovation Committee which will be chaired by Parish Council member Jim Kircher. The committee will be charged with developing a renovation plan and presenting a recommendation to Parish Council who will then make a recommendation to Fr. Chris. In addition to Jim, the committee will consist of Chris Miller, our Facilities Manager; one representative each from the Spiritual Growth, Worship, and Finance Commissions; and two “at-large” members of the parish. If you are interested in being considered for one of these positions, please contact Jim (513-604-4397 or [email protected])
We have retained an architect with a specialty in Catholic church renovations who will initially prepare detailed sketches and drawings as well as estimates of probable construction costs which he will present to the Church Renovation Committee.
With regard to the Catholic Center renovations, we have established a Facilities Commission and are currently seeking individuals to serve on that commission. The commission will be charged with seeking the input of our parishioners and the various ministries and groups who use our facilities in determining how to best utilize the space in the Catholic Center and to define the ultimate scope of the Catholic Center renovation. The commission will present a recommendation to Parish Council who will then make a recommendation to Fr. Chris.
We are looking for volunteers to serve on this commission. If you are interested in being considered, or know someone who may be interested or who may have a specific talent (e.g., construction, engineering, finance, interior design, etc.), please contact Ken Radecki (513-652-4039), President of Parish Council.
If anyone has any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please contact any member of Parish Council.
