We Heard You!  In June, we sent out a FlockNote survey on our Region’s mission: Sister Community.  We wanted to see how much our Region knew and wanted to learn about the mission and how we could more effectively fundraise. Below are the survey findings and beginning notes on how we plan to take action.

Impressively, the survey was able to tell us that 31 percent who opened the Flocknote survey responded. Of those responding to the Flocknote survey:

30% are familiar – But this leaves us with 70% opportunity.  We are creating and planning for more educational materials and activities for our region and youth.  You will see more information like this in communications including social media. Look for Sister Community brochures and fundraiser invitations at Mass and PSR.

 18% currently sponsor a student – Thank you!  We value our strong donor/sponsor base.  You are dedicated and passionate about the good you are doing and the results you see in our students and graduation rates!  However,  we see an opportunity for greater depth and ability to pursue ideas like an endowment or broader mission(s).

 50% have heard of Sister Community’s mission in Jardines de Colon, El Salvador and know that we provide education scholarships for deserving students, helped build a pastoral center and support a community library – Again we see this as opportunity to grow our mission and continue to lay a strong foundation for Sister Community.  The Sister Community brochure and latest newsletter talk about our history, the 600+ scholarships we have sponsored and the good works currently going on in Jardines de Colon.

 48% are interested in helping the mission grow, learning more and/or would like to get involved in some way – You will see more mission information out and about the parish as we work to build a mission relationship with our youth through PSR and youth outreach activities. We’ve also planned an appreciation/fundraising dinner event for October 20 and need those interested in attending to make a reservation! We also need volunteers to help plan and organize the dinner! If you know someone who has had long involvement in this mission, traveled to El Salvador or helped build the mission over the past 20 years...COME OUT AND HONOR THEIR LEGACY! 

Overall, we learned that you want to know more and we have opportunity for growth!  We are excited that so many respondents are interested in learning more about the mission.  If you didn’t get a chance to participate in the Flocknote survey you can still give feedback, learn more, sponsor a dinner table at our fundraiser event for your friends and family or attend as an individual/couple.  Make a reservation now to join us for a special evening of fellowship, appreciation, a wonderful speaker, music and a meal!
