I want to encourage as many of you as possible to attend Fr. McCullough’s formal installation Mass on February 1.  There will be a nice, brief official ceremony conducted by the Dean of the area, Fr. An Evening with Your Mother Mary Would you like to learn more about Mary?  Join in our January Marian celebration at St. Matthias.  Date: Friday, January 26 at 5:30 pm. Dinner, Marian prayers and Movie: Mary of Nazareth  Bring a friend and/or a family member!

Our next “Assembly of Disciples” gathering will be at St. James of the Valley in the Church on Tuesday, January 23 at 7:00 pm. As you may remember we had our first of three gatherings in August at St. Matthias, where we began the process of looking ahead at the ministries we would offer this year. At our upcoming gathering, we will look at where we are, where we want to go, and what steps we will need to take to get there. Some of the ministries we will be discussing are: the Alpha courses, the Lenten Mission, St. Vincent de Paul, RCIA, etc. We are all called to serve God and others, and our region’s parishes offer us many opportunities to do just that. The Assembly of Disciples is an opportunity to learn about Ministries, exploring ways that we can be involved either through participating or leading in any one of the numerous ministries we offer. Please join us! Everyone in our region is welcome and your input is invaluable.

January 3-10, Dave Nissen, Deacon Dominic Vu, Scott Bartz and Ron Fettig are visiting the WWPR Sister Community in El Salvador. They are interviewing scholarship recipients in Jardines de Colón. Please pray for safe travels and a spiritually fulfilling Mission trip. WWPR Youth Group will still meet on Sunday in Dave's absence. Anyone in 8th grade and high school is welcome. Meet in the PAC living room for Discipleship at 7 pm, then stay for Club at 8 pm.

The newest member of our grounds and maintenance staff is Jerry Krieger. Jerry is a retired mechanical engineer with a long career at the US Department of Energy Fernald site in Ross, Ohio. He is a native Cincinnatian from Mt. Airy. He attended Little Flower grade school, then Roger Bacon high school, and completed his Bachelor and Master's Degrees at the University of Cincinnati. Jerry and his wife Marge live in Colerain Township and attend St. Matthias church.
