I have enjoyed the last few weeks of being able to submit a sheet full of data from the Archdiocese about priests, retirement ages, seminary formation, and the geographical density of parishes. But now comes the time when I must write my own material, and we must confront the possibilities that this data suggests. In the cold light of day, it looks like quite the challenge.

In what began with Safe Haven Sunday on February 7, 2021, we are eager to continue the fight against pornography. Pornography is an evil industry that the evil one is using to blind God’s children from the mercy and light of Christ. We cannot stand for this; we cannot let the evil one have this victory. Let us go courageously with Christ into battle to destroy this plague that is impacting too many individuals and families. Seminary – How Does a Man Become a Priest and How Long Does It Take? In a two birds, one stone scenario, here is some basic information on the timeline of formation of future priests. My hope is that it will fill out the bulletin information from previous weeks about our current priest to parish ratios, as well as shed light on the process by which priests are formed and encourage the young men of our parish to consider the call to priesthood and further encourage the parish to pray for vocations. ~ Fr.
